Dr. Carter is a Harvard Senior Executive Fellow, author, mentor, motivational speaker, adjunct professor of business at a collegiate and university, a management consultant, a scholarly peer reviewer, and leader.

Dr. Carter is a United States Army Retired Veteran of three foreign Wars where he earned the Bronze Star Medal.

He holds an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He holds an Executive Certificate in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He holds an Executive Certificate in Management Excellence from the Harvard Business School. He holds a doctorate in business. He has more than 32 years of public and private sector experience across the Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe, and the Americas

Dr. Carter has extensive experience in academia, business management, strategy development, and innovation. He also serves on the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council.

He is a frequent contributor in leadership podcasts, federal employee-focused podcasts, women empowerment events, business interviews as a SCORE mentor—the largest network of free volunteers, expert business mentors dedicated to helping small businesses sponsored by the Small Business Administration.
